SAGWA Scholarships


Lesson Scholarships 2025/2026 Academic Year

  • Need-based 10 month lesson scholarships from September-June
  • Only SAGWA members are eligible to apply
  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
  • All decisions are final
  • Application deadline: December 5 by 11:59pm EST
  • Lessons must be taken from a Suzuki teacher who belongs to SAGWA and SAA
  • Applicant and Suzuki teacher must live in the Greater Washington, DC area boundary. The boundaries are Fredericksburg VA / Culpepper VA / Front Royal VA / Winchester VA to Martinsburg WV / Frederick MD / Columbia MD to Bowie MD / St.Charles MD / Fredericksburg VA.

SAGWA Lesson Scholarship Application

After submitting the online form, please send the following documents to the address indicated on the application form. Postmarked by:  December 5

  • Copies of your most recent Federal Tax Forms with the appropriate schedules
  • Copies of your most recent W-2s
  • Your private teacher's policy and billing information

    SAGWA welcomes applications under the following conditions:

    • You must be a SAGWA member in good standing to apply for SAGWA Scholarships
    • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered
    • If applying for an event scholarship, registration must be completed first

    All decisions are final
