Join us for the 2020 Greater Washington Suzuki Institute (GWSI). For over 40 years, GWSI has been building a community of teachers, students and families focused on making the best musical education available to children. GWSI offers students and their families, as well as teachers seeking professional development, the opportunity to work with an award-winning faculty renowned for its expertise as performers, teachers and leaders in the application of the Suzuki approach. Teachers, students and their parents enjoy a stimulating and motivating environment that offers them the opportunity to supplement their musical education, enhance their recognition within the Suzuki community, network with families invested in musical education and establish life-long friendships.
Student Program: June 22 – June 26
In 2020 GWSI offers full and partial programs for beginning and advanced students of violin, cello, viola and bass. These programs consist of a combination of Master Class Lessons, Repertory Classes, Quartet/Chamber Music Classes, Scottish Fiddling, five levels of Orchestra, Music Theory Games, daily recitals and a final concert. Parents attending with their children have the opportunity to participate in daily lectures and selected Teacher Development Program courses.
